In the fall of 2007 I found myself alone in Rexburg, Idaho. My family had moved "temporarily" to Utah after my high school graduation and I had spent the summer feeling alone. I was about to start college at a school I had never seen without knowing a single person.

Soon, my belongings were unloaded into my dorm and my parents drove away, leaving me with three very unfamiliar girls (one of which came home bawling because she and her boyfriend had just broken up--she didn't just shed a couple of tears she was practically screaming).

Those first few weeks were a huge adjustment, but my roommates quickly became kindred spirits and I fell in love with BYU-Idaho!

With my family. Andrew's family also came for the ceremony but unfortunately we didn't get a picture with them! |
Last month it came time for me to say my final goodbyes to BYU-Idaho. I admit, I was counting down the days until we would move out of Idaho but sitting in my cap and gown during commencement I thought about all the things BYU-Idaho has done for me (besides just the diploma!) and I started to get chocked up at the thought of leaving.

(See that belly! I waddled across that stage to get my diploma!) |
Thankfully, I am not leaving alone :)
